1. Scope

This policy applies to subscriptions, paid plans, digital tools, add-ons, licences and other paid access to My Law Tools.

2. Subscriptions

Paid plans may renew automatically unless cancelled.

Your subscription gives access to the features, limits and allowances stated for your plan at the time of subscription, subject to our Terms and Conditions and other policies.

Features may depend on payment status, subscription status, account status, tier level, usage limits and technical availability.

3. Payment failure

If payment fails, is cancelled, reversed, disputed or not received, we may suspend access, downgrade the account to a free tier, remove paid features, restrict exports, restrict storage, suspend team seats, cancel the subscription or recover unpaid sums.

4. Cancellation by you

You may cancel your subscription through your account, payment provider or by contacting us at admin@myLawTools.co.uk.

Cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund payments already made unless required by law or expressly agreed.

You should export and save any documents, settings, outputs, logos, cover pages or account data you need before cancellation.

5. Refunds

Unless required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable once the paid period has started.

We may offer refunds at our discretion.

We do not offer refunds merely because you changed your mind after using the service, did not use the service, forgot to cancel, exceeded usage limits, experienced issues caused by your device, browser, server, WordPress setup, hosting, plugins or third-party services, had an output rejected by a court or third party, failed to check documents, deadlines, bundles, redactions or outputs, or expected legal advice or professional review.

6. Consumer cancellation rights

If you are a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation rights.

Where you purchase digital content or immediate access to digital services, you may be asked to consent to immediate access and acknowledge that cancellation rights may be affected once performance begins, where permitted by law.

Nothing in this policy removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Business users

If you subscribe for business, professional, firm, organisational, charity, client-facing, court-facing or work purposes, you are treated as a business user.

Business subscriptions are non-refundable unless we expressly agree otherwise or the law requires otherwise.

8. Changes to plans

We may change features, prices, limits and plan structures from time to time.

Where practical, we will give notice of material changes affecting paid plans. Free, beta, trial, experimental or promotional features may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

9. Checkout wording

You may use the following wording at checkout:

By subscribing, you agree that your plan will renew automatically unless cancelled. Access depends on successful payment and active subscription status.

If you are a consumer purchasing immediate access to digital content or digital services, you request immediate access and acknowledge that your cancellation rights may be affected once access begins, where permitted by law.

10. Suggested checkout confirmations

  • I agree to the subscription terms, refund policy and automatic renewal terms.
  • I request immediate access to digital services and understand that cancellation rights may be affected once access begins, where permitted by law.
