Introduction<\/h2>\n<p>These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the My Law Tools website, software tools, plugins, dashboards, document processing utilities, subscription features, PDF tools, bundle creation tools, chronology tools, deadline tools, redaction tools, tutorials and related services.<\/p>\n<p>By accessing or using our website or tools, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website or tools.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Important notice<\/h2>\n<p>My Law Tools provides software utilities and document management tools only. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, litigation services, regulated legal services, accountancy services, tax advice, insolvency advice, data protection advice, compliance advice or professional judgment.<\/p>\n<p>Our tools are designed to assist with practical administrative tasks such as preparing bundles, organising documents, formatting files, identifying possible dates, producing indexes, generating PDFs, calculating deadlines and managing document workflows.<\/p>\n<p>You remain fully responsible for checking all documents, outputs, deadlines, indexes, pagination, redactions, extracted dates, generated content, file order, court compliance, tribunal compliance, regulatory compliance and any material submitted to any court, tribunal, regulator, client, opponent or third party.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Who may use our tools<\/h2>\n<p>You may use our tools only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement and agree to comply with these Terms.<\/p>\n<p>Where you use our tools in a professional, legal, regulated, client-facing, court-facing or business context, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with all laws, professional rules, regulatory duties, court rules, client obligations, confidentiality duties, data protection duties and internal policies that apply to you.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Account registration<\/h2>\n<p>Some features may require an account. You must provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it updated.<\/p>\n<p>You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.<\/p>\n<p>We may suspend or restrict an account where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, unauthorised access, non-payment, breach of these Terms, security risk, unlawful activity or conduct that may harm us, our users, our systems or third parties.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Subscriptions, tiers and payments<\/h2>\n<p>Some features may be free. Others may require a paid subscription, licence, usage allowance, tier plan, team plan, firm plan or add-on.<\/p>\n<p>Subscription limits may include the number of bundles, files, pages, users, seats, projects, storage items, exports, tools or processing actions available during a billing period.<\/p>\n<p>Where our tools are linked to a payment provider, ecommerce system or subscription platform, access may depend on the status of your subscription. If payment fails, is reversed, is disputed, is cancelled or the subscription becomes inactive, your access may be downgraded, suspended, limited or returned to a free tier.<\/p>\n<p>Prices, features, limits and tiers may change from time to time. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes.<\/p>\n<h2>6. Team, firm and seat-based accounts<\/h2>\n<p>Where you use a team, firm or organisation account, the account owner or administrator is responsible for managing users, seats, access permissions, billing, uploaded assets, branding, document workflows and compliance within that organisation.<\/p>\n<p>If you are invited to use a team or firm account, your use may be controlled by the account owner or administrator. They may add, remove, restrict or reassign access.<\/p>\n<h2>7. No legal advice<\/h2>\n<p>Our tools may include templates, prompts, labels, headings, suggested workflows, automated extraction, date detection, deadline calculations, bundle formatting, redaction assistance, document conversion or other outputs that appear legal or procedural in nature.<\/p>\n<p>These outputs are provided for general software assistance only. They are not legal advice and must not be relied upon as legal advice.<\/p>\n<p>You must obtain advice from a suitably qualified legal professional where legal advice is required.<\/p>\n<h2>8. Court, tribunal and procedural compliance<\/h2>\n<p>Courts, tribunals, regulators and public bodies may have their own rules for document format, pagination, indexing, bundle structure, bookmarks, hyperlinks, redaction, file size, signatures, service, filing, deadlines and electronic submission.<\/p>\n<p>We do not guarantee that any output created by our tools will comply with any particular court, tribunal, regulator, judge, practice direction, order, portal requirement, filing system or procedural rule.<\/p>\n<p>You are responsible for checking all applicable requirements before submitting or relying on any output.<\/p>\n<h2>9. Deadlines and date calculations<\/h2>\n<p>Any deadline calculator, chronology builder, date extractor or time-limit tool is provided for assistance only.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline calculations may be affected by jurisdiction, court rules, tribunal rules, procedural rules, bank holidays, deemed service rules, method of service, time zones, emergency rules, local rules, judicial orders, contract terms, limitation rules, extensions, stays, amendments, weekends and factual issues.<\/p>\n<p>You must independently verify all deadlines before acting or failing to act. We accept no responsibility for missed deadlines, incorrect filings, late service, limitation issues, adverse orders, wasted costs, sanctions, loss of rights or any other consequence arising from reliance on automated or assisted deadline calculations.<\/p>\n<h2>10. PDF, bundle and document processing<\/h2>\n<p>Our tools may assist with combining documents, splitting files, renaming files, indexing documents, adding pagination, generating bookmarks, adding cover pages, applying branding, compressing files, converting files or producing output bundles.<\/p>\n<p>You are responsible for checking that all required documents are included, no unintended documents are included, documents are in the correct order, page numbers are correct, the index is accurate, bookmarks and hyperlinks work, confidential material is removed where necessary and the final output meets the requirements of the intended recipient.<\/p>\n<p>We do not guarantee that file processing will be error-free, complete, suitable, accepted, admissible, readable, searchable, compatible with every system or compliant with any particular requirement.<\/p>\n<h2>11. Redaction tools<\/h2>\n<p>Any redaction feature is provided as an aid only. Redaction is a high-risk activity and must always be checked manually.<\/p>\n<p>You are responsible for ensuring confidential, privileged, commercially sensitive, personal, special category, protected, legally restricted or irrelevant material is properly removed before disclosure, filing, service, publication or sharing.<\/p>\n<p>You must not assume that visual covering, highlighting, boxing, annotation, colour overlay or apparent masking is secure redaction. You must verify that underlying text, metadata, comments, layers, attachments, hidden content, OCR text, thumbnails, bookmarks, revision history and embedded objects cannot be recovered where secure redaction is required.<\/p>\n<h2>12. OCR, AI, extraction and automation<\/h2>\n<p>Some features may use OCR, automation, rule-based processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, third-party APIs or other automated methods to identify dates, text, names, events, issues, document types, headings, chronology entries, deadlines or other content.<\/p>\n<p>Automated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, duplicated, inconsistent, out of date or unsuitable for your purpose. It may miss relevant information or identify irrelevant information.<\/p>\n<p>You must review, verify and approve all automated outputs before relying on them.<\/p>\n<h2>13. Uploaded files and user content<\/h2>\n<p>You are responsible for all files, documents, text, images, logos, branding, templates, data and other content that you upload, process, generate, store, submit or use through our tools.<\/p>\n<p>You must ensure that you have the right to use, process and upload all content. You must not upload or process anything unlawful, harmful, infringing, malicious, defamatory, abusive, fraudulent or prohibited.<\/p>\n<h2>14. Confidentiality and professional obligations<\/h2>\n<p>Where you are a solicitor, barrister, legal executive, paralegal, regulated firm, professional adviser, consultant or person handling confidential information, you remain responsible for your own professional and regulatory duties.<\/p>\n<p>You must assess whether our tools are appropriate for your use case, client matter, confidentiality obligations, information security requirements, data protection duties, supervision obligations, file management duties, outsourcing duties, client care duties and regulatory obligations.<\/p>\n<h2>15. Data protection<\/h2>\n<p>You are responsible for determining whether you are a controller, processor, joint controller or independent controller in relation to personal data you use with our tools.<\/p>\n<p>Where we process personal data on your behalf, such processing will be governed by our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Data Processing Agreement.<\/p>\n<h2>16. Security and backups<\/h2>\n<p>We will take reasonable steps to protect our systems. However, no website, plugin, browser tool, hosting environment, third-party service or internet transmission is completely secure.<\/p>\n<p>You must keep your own backups of all original files, uploaded files, processed files, exported files, generated bundles, redacted files, templates, logos, cover pages, account data and outputs.<\/p>\n<p>Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, our tools are not an archive, document management system, evidence repository, backup service, legal file storage system or long-term storage system.<\/p>\n<h2>17. Availability and changes<\/h2>\n<p>We aim to provide reliable tools, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Access may be interrupted, restricted, delayed, suspended or unavailable because of maintenance, updates, hosting issues, third-party services, payment systems, browser changes, WordPress updates, plugin conflicts, security controls, internet issues or events outside our control.<\/p>\n<p>We may modify, improve, suspend, withdraw, replace, limit, rename or discontinue any tool or feature at any time.<\/p>\n<h2>18. Third-party systems<\/h2>\n<p>Our tools may depend on WordPress, WooCommerce, payment providers, hosting, browsers, cloud services, third-party APIs, plugins, libraries and other external components. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, accuracy, security, terms, privacy practices, performance, pricing, changes or failures.<\/p>\n<h2>19. Intellectual property<\/h2>\n<p>We own or license all rights in our website, software, plugins, code, design, branding, workflows, interfaces, documentation, templates, text, graphics, databases, know-how and related materials, except for content you provide or third-party materials.<\/p>\n<p>You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the tools in accordance with these Terms and your subscription plan.<\/p>\n<h2>20. No guarantee of outcome<\/h2>\n<p>We do not guarantee any legal, procedural, commercial, financial, regulatory, professional, litigation, settlement, filing, compliance or operational outcome.<\/p>\n<p>Use of our tools does not guarantee that a bundle will be accepted, a filing will succeed, a deadline will be correct, a redaction will be secure, a chronology will be accurate, a court will accept a document, a client will approve work, a regulator will consider your process compliant or a matter will achieve any particular result.<\/p>\n<h2>21. Limitation of liability<\/h2>\n<p>Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.<\/p>\n<p>Subject to that, we will not be liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings, data, documents, evidence, use, business interruption, professional negligence claims against you, regulatory action against you, court sanctions, adverse orders, wasted costs, missed deadlines, filing failures, confidentiality breaches caused by your use or indirect, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary or punitive losses.<\/p>\n<p>To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the tools, website, subscriptions, outputs or these Terms will be limited to the greater of the total amount you paid to us for the relevant service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or \u00a3100.<\/p>\n<h2>22. User responsibility and indemnity<\/h2>\n<p>You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against losses, claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the tools, documents, files, uploads, outputs or instructions, breach of law or failure to review, verify, correct, redact, approve, save, backup, file, serve or submit documents properly.<\/p>\n<h2>23. Suspension and termination<\/h2>\n<p>We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, payment fails, we suspect fraud or misuse, continued access may create risk or we are required to do so by law, regulator, court order, payment provider, hosting provider or security requirement.<\/p>\n<h2>24. Changes to these Terms<\/h2>\n<p>We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised date. If you continue using the website or tools after changes take effect, you will be treated as accepting the updated Terms.<\/p>\n<h2>25. Governing law and jurisdiction<\/h2>\n<p>These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or connected with these Terms, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.<\/p>\n<h2>26.
